 UNITED METHODIST WOMEN |
Main Street enjoys an active United Methodist Women group. They are a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
- The Bible Study Circle educate and interpret the mission work of the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church.
- The Dorcas Circle, for mature members of the UMW, promotes the remembrance of children in the prayer life of the congregation and organizes projects which benefit children.
- The Angel Circle for young women is active in spiritual growth and social action.
- All circles meet monthly with combined special meetings throughout the year.

Another exciting program , coming May 5 at 7PM, after the Wed. night dinner, is a tri-district mission event in our sanctuary to host 2 women from Mozambique . This event is open to all women from Charlottesville, Staunton and Harrisonburg Districts .Men are welcome too, of course ! There will be a punch and cookies reception for all to "meet and greet" afterward in the fellowship hall . The ladies and their host(s) from Charlottesville may also be attending our fellowship dinner .
